Welcome! Chai Hair Studio is the culmination of a decade-long journey that started somewhere you might not expect.I grew up right here in Plano, Texas, before heading off to study Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin and completing graduate school at Harvard University. After graduation, I spent three years in Los Angeles working as a software engineer in the defense industry. But inside the corporate cubicle, I found myself looking for something more, a creative outlet that felt genuinely fulfilling.That search led me to the worlds of photography, barbering, and hair artistry. What began as an exploration quickly became a mastercraft. In 2012, I won the national American Crew haircutting competition, launching my career as an international educator. By 2013, I signed with Exclusive Artists Management, a premier agency representing celebrity barbers and stylists in the heart of Hollywood. Over the past thirteen years, I’ve had the privilege of training stylists globally, prepping clients for the red carpets of the Oscars and the Golden Globes, and seeing my work published in leading fashion and entertainment editorials including ELLE, The Hollywood Reporter, GQ, and Nylon.In 2020, I made the decision to bring that high-end, industry-vetted precision back home to North Texas.
